In-Class Training Protocols
24 Hours Before the Course:
All students must complete the Screening Questionnaire (sent with your emailed registration receipt) 24 hours before their scheduled course. If you answer YES to any of the questions asked in the questionnaire, you need to contact our office and reschedule your training. All students will complete and sign a copy of this questionnaire on the day of the training and will only be allowed to attend the training if the answer to ALL questions is NO.
The Morning of the Course:
If you are feeling ill or showing any signs or symptoms from the list below, do not leave your house. Give us a call and we will put your booking on hold. After you have isolated for 14 days, please give us another call and we will reschedule your booking at no extra cost.
The Day of Your Course:
Please aim to arrive to the training facility 15 minutes before your class time. When you arrive you will see a notice on our training room door to wait outside the training room. You will be asked to wait in a single file line keeping 6 feet apart from the other participants. Please wear a mask and dress and plan accordingly as some lines will extend outdoors and you should be prepared for the weather.
Arriving to the Course:
The course instructor will collect signed screening questionnaires from each student one at a time before granting permission into the course. Upon entry, you will be guided to a hand sanitizing station and put on your 3-layered face mask*. You, the other students and the instructor will be required to wear the facemask throughout the entire course. You will also be given gloves to be worn during the skills session of the course.
During the Course:
You will be given a seat that is 6 feet apart from the other students. You will be given your own mannequin and training equipment to use throughout the course. All of our equipment is thoroughly disinfected before and after each and every use. PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to demonstrate various skills on another participant in the class. During this time, you will both be given new gloves and be required to keep your facemask on. If you are not comfortable with this, please do not register for a course.
If a student becomes ill or starts to display any symptoms of COVID-19 during the course, the course will immediately end for everyone. The instructor will ask everyone to go home and isolate for 14 days. If you begin to feel unwell or believe you are displaying possible signs, please follow this self-assessment for COVID-19 from the Ontario Government: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/
