Vicki Elliott is our lead trainer and she is certified to teach The Ottawa Paramedic Services First Aid & CPR courses. Vicki’s passion for training and all things First Aid, with her management and training experience was why she developed this platform, a place where First Aid instructors from many different organizations can meet to offer you a range of different courses.

CPR Instructor - Janet Steinman

Hello, my name is Janet Steinman. After receiving my BScN from the University of Ottawa, I starting teaching Nursing at John Abbott College, a CEGEP in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec. I have been teaching the graduating class of our three-year nursing program for the past 16 years. I teach students in the classroom, laboratory & clinical setting.

Prior to becoming a nursing teacher, I worked for 15 years as a bedside nurse in various departments at the Montreal General Hospital. I worked in the Cardiovascular Thoracic (CVT) unit, the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), & the Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CICU).

In addition, I also worked as a primary care paramedic with Urgences-Sante, an ambulance company in Montreal for 10 years. I am also a First Aid/CPR & AED Instructor with three internationally recognizable organizations, the Canadian Red Cross, Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada & St. John Ambulance.

Teaching is my passion & I wish to continue teaching First Aid/CPR & AED courses after my retirement from John Abbott College.
